Results on isotopic effects in the production of light fragments in re
actions of 14A and 32A MeV N-14 ions with Sn-112 and Sn-124 are presen
ted The data are discussed in the frameworks of classical Weisskopf ev
aporation and an alternative Fermi gas prescription. The source isospi
n dependence of the production rates is consistent only with the latte
r prescription. It is emphasized that similar data from p-nucleus reac
tions and from projectile-like fragments in Ar-40 induced reactions be
have in the same way.
