Sj. Ehrenpreis et al., 4TH VENTRICULAR HEMANGIOBLASTOMA ASSOCIATED WITH PHEOCHROMOCYTOMA ANDRENAL MEDULLARY FIBROMA, Journal of neuro-ophthalmology, 14(3), 1994, pp. 183-187
Intraventricular hemangioblastomas are exceptionally rare. Of the case
s described in the literature, very few were associated with von Hippe
l-Lindau disease. We present a highly unusual case of a fourth ventric
ular hemangioblastoma associated with a pheochromocytoma and a renal m
edullary fibroma. This may represent a forme fruste of the von Hippel-
Lindau complex. A workup for papilledema resulted in the discovery of
this rare finding.
