M. Thielen, STRONG HOLLOW PARTS - BLOW MOLDING OF TEC HNICAL PARTS FROM FIBER GLASS-REINFORCED POLYPROPYLENES, Kunststoffe, Plast Europe, 84(10), 1994, pp. 1406
Thermoplastics reinforced by long fibers with average lengths above 5
or 6 mm are suitable for the production of industrial parts with mecha
nical and thermal properties which are better than those of convention
al resins reinforced by shout fibers (average length 0.2 to 0.4 mm) [1
to 3]. A modified process which is capable to accomodate the demands
for this relatively new group of materials can be easily applied to th
e extrusion blow molding of hollow industrial parts.
