D. Fournier et al., PLANT-REGENERATION FROM CELL-SUSPENSION CULTURES OF TETRAPLOID TALL FESCUE, Plant cell, tissue and organ culture, 46(2), 1996, pp. 165-168
A protocol for plant regeneration of tetraploid tall fescue (Festuca a
rundinacea v. glaucescens 2n = 4x = 28) from cell suspension cultures
is described. Calluses were induced from the basal part of youngest le
aves and used for initiation of suspension cultures. Fast growing cell
suspension cultures were established and, when plated onto agar-solid
ified medium, developed calluses which formed shoots and finally regen
erated into whole plants.
