Abstract
The aerodynamic performance of a horizontal-axis wind turbine has been calculated by applying strip and cascade theories. The results obtain ed by these theories have been compared with the experimental and othe r numerical data. It has been found that the cascade theory predicts b etter results at low tip speed ratios.
