Abstract
An important grain growth of (Bi,Pb)(2)Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 (2223) was observe d at the interface between solid pellets in two diffusion couple confi gurations : (i) (Ca0.85Sr0.15)CuO2 (''n=infinity'' phase) + 2212 (n=2) at 845-855 degrees C, (ii) (Ca0.5Sr0.5)CuO2 + (Bi,Pb)(2)CuO4 at 845 d egrees C. 2223 crystals up to 100 mu m long were found to grow perpend icular to the diffusion front. The critical temperature of the diffusi on zone product was 108 K.
