Abstract
The mechanism of intercalation in high Tc superconductors is presented and the microstructure of intercalated materials is studied by Raman microspectroscopy for IBr in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 Presence of I2Br- is shown and the results are in agreement with a P4/mmm structure. An increasin g of Tc onset of 15 K is also found.
