Crystal structure, oxygen stoichiometries and superconducting properti
es of RT chemically oxidized La2-xSrxCuO4+y (0 < x < 0.15) have been s
tudied by means of powder neutron diffraction, thermogravimetric analy
sis and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The presence of intersti
tial oxygen located at (1/4,1/4,approximate to 1/4), as in La2CuO4+y,
is confirmed; however, phase separation at low temperature is not obse
rved.
