Abstract
YBa2CU3O7 (YBCO) superconducting thin films with Tco=90.6+/-0.6K, Jc=( 2.9+/-0.9)x10(6)A/cm(2) at 77K and Rs less than or equal to 250 mu Ome ga at 10GHz were deposited on phi 35mm substrates by PLA. STM examinat ion showed both spiral and layered island growth. When the substrate-t arget distance was 30mm, YBCO film contained BaO precipitates with siz es between 10-100nm, equiaxed shapes, which may act as pinning centers .
