Abstract
The application of eluents composed of methanol-aqueous phosphoric buf fer was investigated for the highperformance liquid chromatographic se paration of alkaloids on a silica stationary phase. These eluents were shown to be very useful for preliminary analytical chromatography and allow the conditions for the preconcentration of some alkaloids from crude extracts to be established. The effects of different eluent pH v alues and methanol concentrations were examined.
