Abstract
The use of a suspension of chromatographic particles as a pseudo-stati onary phase in capillary electrokinetic chromatography is demonstrated . The separation of nine phenol derivatives is presented to demonstrat e the influence of the particles. Reversed-phase particles with a diam eter of 1.5 mu m were chosen. These particles were coated with a surfa ctant to form a stable suspension. The capacity factor of the chromato graphic separation can be varied by changing the particle concentratio n, independent of other parameters. To avoid light scattering at the p articles, a discontinuous set-up was developed.
