Abstract
A comparative analysis of two and three-roll deformation systems in sc rew rolling is made. A dependence of stress gradient in deformed body which progress level governs the conditions of possible damage of meta l integrity, on roll-billet diameter ratio is established. A more favo rable stress-strain metal state in three-high rolling as compared to t wo-high rolling is mainly explained by better geometric ratios of defo rmation zone.
