Abstract
Spatially resolved electrical variations in YBa2Cu3O7 / PrBa2Cu3O7 mul tilayer structures have been imaged using low temperature scanning ele ctron microscopy. In both via hole and crossover arrays the outer conn ecting track crossing an MgO / PrBa2Cu3O7 step is often found to limit the critical current of the whole structure. Widening the track over such a step produced limiting behaviour in the crossover region itself rather than at the step.
