Abstract
Mixed crystals of misfit layer compounds (SnxLa1-xS)NbS2 have been syn thesized to control the carrier density in NbS2 layers. The carrier de nsity decreases with increasing the La composition, which is explained by the charge transfer (CT) from the SnxLa1-xS layer to the NbS2 laye r. Preliminary electrical resistivity measurements show that some of t he mixed crystals show a decrease of the resistance at similar to 1.5 K, which suggests a superconducting transition.
