Abstract
A relationship between the deviation of cation sublattice from stoichi ometry, on the one hand, and the crystal symmetry, superconducting pro perties and optical spectra, on the other hand, has been analyzed in s ingle crystals of Y(RE)-(123)-type, where RE denotes the rare earth el ements. With respect to the deficiency of Cu sites d(C)u, the synthesi zed single crystals were divided into two regions, in which the superc onductivity is caused by oxygen concentration and deviation of cation sublattice from stoichiometry.
