Abstract
Samples of (La1-xGdx)(1.85)Sr0.15CuO4 (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 1.0) with 1% of Cu substituted by Fe, were studied at room temperature by Mossbauer spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction meas urements. The analysis of the data as a whole allows an interpretation of the different Fe-species in terms of local surroundings characteri stic of T, T and T'-phases.
