S. Oxx et al., PENETRATION DEPTH AND MICROWAVE SURFACE-RESISTANCE OF BI2SR2CACU2O8 SINGLE-CRYSTALS, Physica. C, Superconductivity, 235, 1994, pp. 889-890
The penetration depth lambda and the surface resistance R(s) of BSCCO
single crystals were measured at 10 GHz using a special Nb cavity. At
low temperatures, Delta lambda proportional to T-2, inconsistent with
pure s- or d- wave symmetry, but suggestive of strong impurity scatter
ing. Near T-c the data are inconsistent with a two-fluid or BCS s-wave
model. An unusual peak is observed in R(s) near T-c and is attributed
to fluctuations.
