Abstract
High Quality single phase Bi2-xPbxSr2Ca2Cu3Oy platelets have been grow n by KCl flux method. Lead doping was achieved by adding to the melt l ead oxide. It was found that by this method the maximum lead content i n the structure of the platelets (in atoms per formula unit) can be 0. 16. Lead doping was found as expected to increase the critical transit ion temperature of the crystals. A similar increase was also found to result from the thermal treatment in oxygen atmosphere.
