Abstract
We describe through a phenomenological model the reactive interface fo rmation between Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 and Fe, Cr and Ge overlayers. Adatom clu stering, surface chemical reaction and diffusion of the reacted specie s have been evidenced by core level emission spectroscopy (XPS) and sc anning tuneling microscopy (STM).
