Abstract
We present a microscopic many-body multichannel theory of interference effects between Raman scattering from phonon (discrete) and gap (cont inuum) pair electronic excitations in a superconductor with d(x2)-(y2) pairing symmetry. The theoretical results so obtained give a quantita tive description of our low temperature Raman scattering experiments o n laser ablated nearly twin-free superconducting thin films of YBa2Cu3 O7.
