Abstract
The spectroscopic evidence of metal-insulator (M-I) transition in Bi2S r2Ca1-x Eu-x Cu2O8+delta has been identified. Observed spectral change s due to Eu doping have been related with (i) incorporation of excess oxygen atoms between the BiO layers and (ii) a decrease in the hole co ncentration in the CuO2 planes.
