Abstract
The residual stresses in Y123 and Y123/ Ag2O HTSC were measured and ca lculated using XRD and sin(2) psi analysis. This addition of silver ox ide to Y123 was found to affect both the stress coefficients and the a nisotropic ratio of the stress along the c-axis relative to the a-axis .
