Abstract
It is shown that the bistable behavior of the sublattice formed by api cal oxygen atoms O(4) in the high-T-c,compounds YBa2Cu3O7-x, BiSr2Ca1C u2O8 is responsible for the experimentally observed hysteresis of ultr asonic wave velocity.
