Abstract
Significant reduction in the magnitude of thermal conductivity of a sa mple of YBa2Cu3O7-Y (YBCO) has been observed when the sample was store d in dry air for a period of one year, though it was reoxygenated to r estore superconductivity. A modified BRT type analysis points to an in crease in point defects and planar defects.
