The Bi2+xSr2-xCuO6+delta single crystals with 0.11 less than or equal
to x less than or equal to 0.4 post annealed in various atmospheres we
re studied using electrical resistivity, thermoelectric power and Hall
coefficient measurements. The transport properties vary systematicall
y with x and oxygen activity in annealing atmosphere. The suppression
of the superconductivity for x>0.15 is explained by the carrier locali
zation caused by the presence of bismuth cations on Sr-sites.
