INFLUENCE OF CRITICAL-TEMPERATURE INHOMOGENEITIES AT LONG LENGTH SCALES ON THE TRANSPORT-PROPERTIES OF Y1BA2CU3O7-DELTA CRYSTALS ABOVE THE SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSITION

We have observed anomalous sharp peaks, just above the superconducting
transition, in the ab-plane electrical resistivity and in the thermop
ower of non-fully oxygenated Y1Ba2Cu3O7-delta single crystal and polyc
rystal samples. These anomalies may be easily explained in terms of T-
c-inhomogeneities, at long length scales, associated with oxygen conte
nt inhomogeneities.
