Abstract
We report the dependence of the thermal conductivity kappa(H,T) of sin gle crystal Tl-2201 samples on both magnetic field and temperature. Th e samples have a superconducting phase transition temperature T-c simi lar to 86K. We develop a two component method to analyze the magnetic field dependence of thermal conductivity. Considering the temperature dependence of the two components, we provide the first experimental se paration of the quasiparticle and phonon contribution to the thermal c onductivity in high temperature superconductors.
