Abstract
We report the effects of high temperature anneal treatments on La-dope d Bi-based 2201 single crystals (Bi-2.1(Sr1.9-yLay)CuO6-delta) using i n-plane resistivity and thermoelectric power as probes. The primary ef fect of the anneal is to induce disorder without affecting substantial ly the charge transfer. This behaviour may be linked to the observed d isorder in the superstructure.
