M. Ausloos et al., SPECIFIC-HEAT OF BI1.7PB0.3SR2CA2CU3O10-DELTA BY A NEW AC-DIFFERENTIAL METHOD, Physica. C, Superconductivity, 235, 1994, pp. 1767-1768
We have devised a new measurement method of the specific heat of high
temperature superconductors, based on the ac-method of Sullivan and Se
idel, but modified to be able to use it along a differential scheme. W
e briefly present the method. We use it to obtain data on Bi1.7Pb0.3Sr
2Ca2Cu3O10-delta. The specific heat data covers the temperature range
20-200K. We extract several key parameters, e.g. the critical temperat
ure (106.5K), the Debye temperature (245K), the Sommerfeld constant (2
3 mJ. mole(-1)K(-2)), and the electron-phonon coupling constant (1.46
beta(BCS)). In a Table, we compare the parameters obtained for similar
2223-Bi(Pb)SrCaCuO compounds.
