In-plane penetration depth lambda(ab) was investigated at 45 MHz as a
function of de magnetic field H in the Meissner state of Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy
. At low temperatures, lambda(L) changes Linearly with H. With increas
ing temperature, a systematic rounding around zero field was observed.
These are consistent with a recent theoretical prediction for d-wave
superconductors. Together with the study in conventional superconducto
rs, it is suggested that the superconducting state of Bi-2212 is uncon
ventional.
