Lb. Ioffe et al., FLUCTUATION GROWTH OF THE TRANSVERSE RESISTIVITY OF LAYERED SUPERCONDUCTORS AT THE EDGE OF TRANSITION, Physica. C, Superconductivity, 235, 1994, pp. 1963-1964
Superconducting fluctuations in strongly anisotropic planar supercondu
ctors substantially affect the resistivity above the transition temper
ature. In a wide temperature range above T-c, the main effect of these
fluctuations is to create a virtual gap in the electronic spectrum, c
ausing an increase of transverse resistivity. This effect becomes espe
cially competitive due to the suppression of paraconductivity in c-axi
s direction because of the hopping character of electron motion. The q
ualitative aspects of the phenomenon are discussed in detail.
