An application of the phase-slip model for description of the resistiv
e state in the oxygen deficient YBa2CU3O7-x compound has been investig
ated. This model explains the energy dissipation in the mixed state of
high-T-c layered superconductor by the mechanism of a phase slip resu
lting from the vortex movement through the network of intragrain intri
nsic Josephson junctions. Good agreement has been achieved between the
results of the calculation in terms of this model and the results of
experimental measurements of the magnetoresistance for two samples wit
h different critical temperatures, T-c = 58.8 K and 46.3 K (with x = 0
.35; 0.46, accordingly) at high temperatures (0.6 < T/T-c < 1) and for
magnetic field up to 40 T. For low temperatures (0.15 < T/T-c 0.6) th
e experiment gives a sharper R (B) dependence.
