Ga. Ovsyannikov et al., PROPERTIES OF HIGH-T-C MICROBRIDGE WITH 2-DIMENSIONAL ARRAYS OF DIFFUSION WEAK LINKS, Physica. C, Superconductivity, 241(3-4), 1995, pp. 228-234
YBaCuO microbridges with two-dimensional arrays of superconducting isl
ands connected by diffusion-type weak links have been made and investi
gated experimentally. The basic structure is a microbridge patterned i
n a laser deposited YBaCuO thin film. On top of the microbridge a subm
icron rectangular mesh of 70 nm wide aluminium strips was deposited an
d subsequently diffused at 300-400 degrees C forming weak links. The a
rrays were 10 mu m long and their width varied between 4 and 8 mu m wi
th 500 X 500 nm(2) or 800 x 800 nm(2) unit cells. The critical current
and I-V curves depend nonmonotonically on magnetic field due to the m
ultiply connected nature of the bridge. Microwave radiation from the b
ridge has been registered with an external receiver. The experimental
data could be explained by the vortex motions under the Lorenz force w
ith the magnetic radius larger than the cell size.
