Abstract
The formation of disulphide bonds is an important co- and post-transla tional event in the biosynthesis of many extracellular proteins that i s often coupled to protein folding. Progress in understanding how disu lphide bonds form in model proteins provides insight into how the proc ess can be manipulated to optimize the production of engineered protei ns.
