Abstract
We report high pressure magnetotransport on the organic superconductor kappa-(BEDT-TTF)(2)Cu(NCS)(2). The observation of Shubnikov-de Haas a nd magnetic breakdown oscillations has allowed the pressure dependenci es of the Fermi surface topology and the carrier effective masses to b e deduced and compared with simultaneous measurements of the supercond ucting critical temperature T-C. The data strongly suggest that the en hancement of the effective mass and the superconducting behaviour are directly connected.
