The normal-state Hall effect of Nb/Cu multilayers is negative in contr
ast to the positive Hall effect in Nb films. In the mixed state there
is no sign reversal of the Hall voltage but a temperature and magnetic
field broadening of the Hall resistance, R(xy), which is correlated w
ith the broadening of the sheet resistance, R(xx). The temperature sca
n of R(xy) shows a peak-like anomaly. A model for the normal-state Hal
l effect in mutilayers is proposed.
