Abstract
A new class of c-axis-oriented YBa2Cu3O7-x/Y4Ba3O9 (YBCO/YBO) multilay er films with YBCO and YBO individual thicknesses ranging from 24 to 1 56 Angstrom have been fabricated by using a single target in an on-axi s biased rf magnetron sputtering mode on LaAlO3 (001) substrates. In t hese multilayers a striking feature of magnetic field independent crit ical current J(c) is observed over a temperature range from 5 K to clo se to T-c.
