Abstract
The vortex-glass to vortex-liquid transition has been investigated by measuring the linear complex sc impedance of c-axis oriented YBa2Cu3O7 -delta (YBCO) thin films exposed to a magnetic field H parallel to the c-axis using a two coil mutual inductance technique. An analysis of t he films frequency- and temperature-dependent resistance R(w,T) and in ductance L(w,T) in terms of dynamic scaling in three dimensions provid es strong evidence for a genuine continuous phase transition. Regardle ss of the value of H, we find the static (v) and dynamic (z) critical exponents v = 2.0 +/- 0.5 and z = 5.5 +/- 1.0, in good agreement with values inferred from other studies of YBCO thin films, but distinctive ly larger than those reported for single crystals.
