QUANTUM GROUPS AND QUANTUM SHUFFLES

Let U-q(+) be the ''upper triangular'' Hopf subalgebra of the quantize d envelopping algebra associated with a symetrizable generalized Carta n matrix. One shows that U-q(+) is isomorphic to the subalgebra genera ted by elements of degree 0 and 1 of the cotensor Hopf algebra associa ted with a suitable Hopf bimodule on the group algebra of Z(n). One gi ves a classification result about the Hopf algebras which can be obtai ned by this construction and which satisfy a reasonable growth conditi on.
