Ga. Martin et al., TRANSIENT CONTROL OF GENERATOR EXCITATION IN CONSIDERATION OF MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL DELAYS, IEEE transactions on power delivery, 10(1), 1995, pp. 135-141
The control of a nonlinear system with delayed inputs and measurements
is illustrated on the example of transient excitation control of a ge
nerator. Through simulated studies, the direct feedback linearization
approach is found to yield unsatisfactory results in the presence of l
arge measurement processing delays, An effective way to compensate for
the delay using prediction is demonstrated.
