Abstract
A series of novel benzofuranylacryloylpiperazines, which are structura lly related to both cinnamamide derivatives and befuraline, have been prepared as their hydrochlorides. Their anticonvulsant and antidepress ant activities against seizures induced by electroshock and against te trabenazine-induced palpebral ptosis have been evaluated in mice. Some of them revealed interesting potencies since, although they are less active than the reference drugs, they exhibited a higher protective in dex.
