PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THE ISO-9001 REQ UIREMENTS FOR THE PURCHASING OF OILS AND FATS

The ISO requirement for purchas ing has precisely and clearly started that: ''The supplier shall estab lish and maintain documented procedures to ensure that purchase produc t confirms to specified requirements, evaluate and select subcontracto rs on the basis of their ability to meet subcontract requirements incl uding quality system requirements, establish and maintain quality reco rds''. For the oleochemical manufacturing industries engaged in the IS O certification process, this was regarded as a mean to stronger invol ve the supplier in the quality idea.
