As a function of the angle between the directions of the oscillating m
agnetic field and the static magnetic field, integral forms of powder
Zeeman NQR spectra for a nuclear spin of 3/2 were observed. The powder
Zeeman NQR spectra measured for various asymmetry parameters of the e
lectric field gradient at nuclei were in good agreement with spectra o
btained from computer simulations. The asymmetry parameters of the ele
ctric field gradients at the Ga-69 nuclei in GaCl3 and at the Cl-35 nu
clei, with one of the two kinds of electronic environment, in BCl3 wer
e observed and estimated to give the values 0.85 and 0.42, respectivel
