Abstract
In this paper the instability of the flow gradually varying over a mob ile bed has been studied. The results obtained show the influence of b edload transport on the stability of disturbances. The stability crite ria have been given and examined in more detail. The one of Kranenburg for the flow over a fixed bed is considered as a special case. The nu merical solutions of the amplitude evolution equation are given in som e cases.
