Abstract
Electroreduction in an acetic buffer of methyl bonyl-6H-1,3-thiazin-2- yl)-2-phthalimidopropanoate leads to a mixture of the corresponding 3, 6-dihydro-2H-1,3-thiazine and a (3,6-dihydro-2H-1,3-thiazin-2-ylidene) propanoate with elimination of the phthalimido group; the selectivity is strongly dependent on the composition of the supporting electrolyte .
