Abstract
Anomalous structures have been detected at the L edge EXAFS spectra of
rare-earth solutions in the range 5-7 Angstrom(-1). These anomalies a
re attributed to double electron transitions 2p4d --> 5d(2) for the L(
3) and L(2) edges and to 2s4d --> 5d6p transitions in the case of the
L(1) spectra.
