Abstract
Short-range order of amorphous CuxZr1-x(x = 30, 50, 67 at%) and Ni67Zr 33 are studied. In the case of Cu-Zr alloys we use Cu-EXAFS, Zr-EXAFS and X-ray scattering data. For Ni-Zr alloy Ni-edge chi(k) and DSF are involved to solve the system of Fredholm integral equations by the reg ularization method. The partial pair correlation functions (PCFs) are determined. The nearest neighbourhood of Cu-Zr alloys may be interpret ed within the framework of a hard-spheres model. In contrast, the Ni-Z r PCFs exhibit a trend to strong chemical short-range order.
