Abstract
The local structure of Nd-Fe-B amorphous alloys was studied by Nd L(3) XAFS. The amorphous alloys were prepared by melt-spinning, mechanical grinding and mechanical alloying techniques. It was concluded that th e local structures around the Nd atoms of the amorphous alloys strongl y depend on the difference of fabrication technique, especially the am orphous alloy produced by mechanical alloying which has a quite unique local structure.
