Abstract
The hydroxylation of 2,4,4-trimethyl-3-(2'-hydroxyethyl)-2-cyclohexene by Mucor plumbeus, after usual work up and a subsequent single crysta llization, gave the corresponding optically pure (1R)-hydroxy synthon.
