Abstract
A study of amino acid transmembranar transport in human red cells, usi ng isotope dilution GC/MS technique, compared with radioisotopical tra nsport measurements in rat hepatocyte is presented. A stable isotopica lly labeled amino acid, N-15-glycine was used. Small influx was detect ed for glycine in the two types of cells studied. Incubation of the ce ll in the presence of some ingredients shows increased amino acid infl ux.
